school supply list 2008 - 2009 - fifth Grade

 

There are some basic supplies that are uniform within each grade.  These supplies will be covered with the registration supply fee and they will be distributed throughout the year in the classrooms.

 

In addition, there are supplies that each child will be required to bring when school begins on Tuesday, September 2nd.

 

Label all supplies with your child's name

 

Earthquake preparedness kit (one per child - mandatory on the first day of school)

1 - zip lock bag (name and grade printed on the outside) to include:

    2 granola bars * 1 boxed drink * 1 paper napkin * a comforting note to your child with a family picture

2 containers Lysol or Clorox sanitizing wipes (for computers)

1 bottle hand sanitizer

2 boxes of Kleenex

1 roll of paper towels

Eraser

4 colored pens

8 or 10 pack of markers

1 pair sturdy scissors

1 black Sharpie

2 packages #2 yellow pencils (sharpened)

3 spiral notebooks

2 packages 3 x 5 index cards

5 solid colored pocket folders

Graph paper

1 cm/inch ruler (no designs)

Paperback Thesaurus/Dictionary

1 large glue stick

4 dry erase markers

2 fine point dry erase markers

Zippered pencil bag

Protractor

Compass

Binder paper (200 count, wide ruled)

2" three ring binder (no Trapper Keeper)

2 highlighters

6 subject dividers for binder

1 pack of 3 x 3 post-its

Clear storage box (18 qt./17L about 16.3" x 11.1" x 10")
